Optix Merchant Group is now a BBB Accredited Business through BBB Dallas, Lubbock & Wichita Falls.

We're glad to have it — and we want to be straightforward about what it means, because this industry asks merchants to accept a lot of vague credibility claims. Accreditation is not one of those vague claims, but it's also not a guarantee. Here's the honest version.

What BBB Accreditation Means

Becoming a BBB Accredited Business means we applied for accreditation, met the BBB's standards, and committed to its Accreditation Standards, which include:

  • Build trust — maintain a truthful, transparent track record
  • Advertise honestly — no misleading claims about services or pricing
  • Be transparent — clear information about who we are and what we do
  • Honor promises — follow through on commitments, written or spoken
  • Be responsive — address marketplace disputes quickly and in good faith
  • Safeguard privacy — protect consumer data and be clear about its use
  • Embody integrity — approach everything with honesty and fairness

You can view our BBB Business Review on the BBB website at any time — the seal on our website links directly to it.

What Accreditation Doesn't Mean

What accreditation doesn't mean is also worth stating. It doesn't mean the BBB endorses our pricing or guarantees anyone's experience. The BBB is not a government agency, and accreditation is a standards-and-accountability commitment, not a certification of results.

We think that distinction matters. We ask merchants to be skeptical of inflated claims everywhere else in this industry, so we hold ourselves to the same standard when we talk about our own credentials.

Why It Fits How We Already Work

The payments industry has a trust problem. Merchants get cold-called by strangers who claim to be "your processor," receive compliance notices that turn out to be sales pitches, and sign agreements whose fees only become clear months later. We've built our entire business around being the opposite of that.

That's why our Verify a Call guide exists. It's why we'll never ask for your Social Security number, date of birth, or banking credentials on a first call. It's why we publish our phone number — (855) 999-4757 — and tell you to call us back at the number on our website rather than trusting an inbound caller.

Accreditation fits that pattern. The BBB holds us to published standards and gives merchants a public venue for feedback. It doesn't take our word for anything — and that's exactly the kind of accountability we ask merchants to demand from everyone in this industry, including us.

One of Three Recognitions This Year

The accreditation is one part of a good year. CardConnect, a Fiserv company, also named Optix a 2026 Circle of Excellence winner — we wrote about that award here — and in 2024, Aurora Payments named us Rookie Partner of the Year. Two processors and an independent standards body, each checking our work from the outside.

What Happens Next

Accreditation doesn't change what we are. Optix Merchant Group is not a processor. We don't process your payments, we don't mark up interchange, and we don't work for any single provider. We're an independent broker with relationships across the top processors in the nation, and our job is to match your business to the right fit — and stay in your corner after setup.

If you've been putting off a review of your processing costs, there's no better time. A free statement review takes less than 30 minutes, and there's no obligation — just an honest read of what you're paying, what you should be paying, and whether your current setup still fits your business.

Call us at (855) 999-4757 to schedule your free statement review, or reach out through our website any time.
